Van het zuiverste water/A la claire fontaine
Water is the beginning, the stain contains a story. Nature draws its history with water, takes us away from reality into utopia.
Lizan Freijsen selected from her ‘Archive of lost and found moisture stains’, a monumental moisture stain for home. The origin at Museum Van Loon in Amsterdam is intertwined with a 18th-century image of a French wallpaper.
This unique tablecloth is produced in cooperation with the Audax Museum of Textile, Tilburg. The textile series ‘Van het zuiverste water/ A la claire fontaine’ (Of the first water) contains a tablecloth, napkin and tea towel.
